Reflections on Motherhood

For all mothers out there, if you could go back to just before you had your first child, what would you tell yourself?

*Trust your instincts. *Find a pediatrician you love and ask them lots of questions. Call anytime for any reason. * Ask advice…then do what works for you, your baby, your partner.* Ask for help.* Develop meaningful rituals with your baby from the very start–bath, reading, prayer–whatever–just make it special to you two* A little mess never hurt any baby* If the baby eats kitty’s tail, they will both be just fine. Same with bugs. * Slow down. Babies grow overnight it seems. Savor each new moment as it comes. Each new chapter you begin is where you & baby need to be.* Have fun & laugh together. * You ARE the PERFECT mother for YOUR baby!*

  3. Great information! I’ve been looking for something like this for a while now. Thanks!

I would have never told her daddy she was about to be born.
